The internet went crazy over the capabilities of ChatGPT but there were several issues as the demand for the generative AI tool skyrocketed within days. 

The servers at OpenAI were overloaded and many people faced difficulties using the chatbot. Things went better in February 2023 as OpenAI fixed the demand issues. By March 2023, the company had released a paid subscription option to use some premium features like Sora, Dall-E and much more. The subscription fees start at USD 20 and have to be paid each month to use the premium features of ChatGPT. 

OpenAI Launches GPT-4o

2024 is bringing a lot of crazy things into the world of AI and the internet can’t keep up with it. GPT-4o is the latest model developed by OpenAI and it has finally got the ability to talk with you! Isn’t that impressive? OpenAI has released a video on YouTube that shows how one can talk with the GPT-4o model on a real-time basis. This is a pretty interesting and fun way to interact with AI chatbots. 

In the video, we can see the AI talking in real-time and even asking questions by accessing the camera on the iPhone 15 that they were using. Well, things take a unique turn here as OpenAI officials make two GPT-4o’s talk with each other. They randomly ask each other questions and in the later part of the video, the OpenAI officials try to solve questions through the camera feature. 

All of this seems too good to be true but yes, it is actually true and you can also use the voice chat feature and access the GPT-4o. All you need to do is download the ChatGPT app on your smartphone. The ChatGPT app is available on both Android and iOS phones. 

Is GPT-4o the Future of AI Chatbots?

Yes, the voice chat feature seems to be something that will be truly useful for people, as one doesn’t need to type any prompts to get responses. Instead, your normal voice will be enough to get an answer to anything you want to know. The GPT-4o is seemingly an amazing try at generative AI software in terms of voice interaction.

But there are a lot of things that still need improvement in the voice chat feature of GPT-4o. In the video, the officials seem to get some wrong responses to the questions asked. Although those wrong responses are not a big deal, they have to be significantly removed to make the GPT-4o model a true AI chatbot.
